MaryBeth Frosco

MaryBeth discovered yoga on her road to recovery from cancer, during which time she came to understand that she played a critical role in her own healing. She studied ashtanga and power yoga and eventually found Forrest Yoga®. She believes that through the practice of yoga, we can awaken the power within ourselves to heal the body, mind and spirit. This belief meshed with the philosophy of Forrest Yoga and MaryBeth found her life's passion. She is certified in Forrest Yoga (Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training with Ana Forrest and Jonathan Bowra) and continued her development with the  Forrest Yoga Continuing Education Training and Forrest Yoga Mentorship Programs. As her passion for yoga has deepened, MaryBeth continues to experience the many facets of yoga by studying with a diversity of incredible teachers and incorporating their gifts into her ever-evolving practice and teaching style. Her fascination with anatomy and the uniqueness of the human body is strongly influenced by time with Jill Miller, Julie Gudmestad and Sadie Nardini. MaryBeth is also certified in Sadie Nardini's Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga and she has completed Anusara Immersion Levels 1-3 with Amy Reed. MaryBeth has experienced the profound effects of Yin Yoga through workshops and teacher training with Josh Summers.  She has received Reiki L1 certification and offers Reiki as a complement to the healing practice of yoga.

MaryBeth's practice is an integration of all she has learned and experienced and her teaching is her desire to share this. Her teaching combines alignment in asana with breath awareness to give individuals the time and space to explore and unleash the power within themselves to heal.  Her classes are a tribute to what each one of us is willing to bring to the mat....and then take into our lives. 

MaryBeth has a PhD in Microbiology and also works at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where her efforts are directed toward the development of new agents to treat cancer.
